OnePlus 8, 8 Pro Listed On Amazon Affiliate Page Ahead Of Debut

The next-gen OnePlus 8 Pro and OnePlus 8 models were found listed on the Amazon India affiliate page. Spotted under the standard advertising fee structure for the month of February, it read “NEW: Mobile Phones a 1 percent Fixed Advertising Fee.” Point to be noted here is that one can spot the upcoming models OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro but there is no reference of the rumored 8 Lite. It confirms that 8 Lite is meant only for 5G markets.

Apart from OnePlus models like OnePlus 7T Pro, OnePlus 7T Pro McLaren Edition, OnePlus 7T, and OnePlus 7 Pro, few more brands like Xiaomi, Realme and Samsung brands were spotted with fixed advertising fee charges. Amazon India has always remained OnePlus’ exclusive online partner. The listing of yet to be launched models was brought to notice by @Divyom_DB but was taken off subsequently. Amazon refreshes the affiliate page on a monthly basis.

The company is yet to confirm its devices in the pipeline – OnePlus 8 Pro and OnePlus 8. But with the spotting, the launch can be expected anytime soon. The industry is speculating that the global launch of the OnePlus 8 series should happen at MWC 2020 tech show on February 24. The lineup for 2020 namely is the standard OnePlus 8, premium OnePlus 8 Pro and the mid-range OnePlus 8 Lite. 8 and 8 Pro models will have a global launch but the Lite model will debut in 5G markets only.

OnePlus 8 Pro’s CAD renders were tipped off on the very launch day of OnePlus 7T. It was in September 2019 that the first leaks of 8 Pro were found on the internet. But it gave hint that instead of the traditional May launch, the brand is changing strategy and going for the first-quarter launch. OnePlus has not revealed the complete specifications but let us have a look at the confirmed details and also the rumored ones online.

It is confirmed that the models will have a screen refresh rate of 120Hz, fluid display and also Qi wireless charging. This is the latest technology about which OnePlus announced recently. OnePlus has also joined the Wireless Power Consortium, a group that maintains the standards for wireless charging.

The leaked images and renders hint at a curved display panel, quad rear camera setup along with a Time-of-Flight (ToF) sensor. OnePlus 8 & 8 Pro models will be powered by Qualcomm SD 865 SoC with 12GB RAM and ‘kona’ motherboard. But OnePlus 8 Lite will have an SD 765G chipset. The models will run on Android 10.
