OnePlus always tries hard to keep their devices up-to-date and the recently released OnePlus 7T is no exception. It is nearly two months since the device was launched in India on September 26 with OxygenOS 10.0.1 skin and the company has just released another OTA update that upgraded the OxygenOS to 10.0.6 along with some bug fixes.
The OxygenOS 10.0.6 is a minor update that optimizes standby power consumption, Bluetooth connectivity in automobiles or Android Auto, and improves the expanded screenshot feature. These apart, the update leads to improvements in system stability and fixes general bugs.
This is a minor 75MB-sized update because OnePlus 7T has already received a bigger 137MB update (OxygenOS 10.0.5) at the beginning of November that brought the October 2019 Android Security Patch. The OxygenOS 10.0.6 update is released for the HD65AA variants, which implies it is available for both India (with the letter I in the filename) and global (with the letter O in the filename) users.
OnePlus released both OnePlus 7T and OnePlus 7T Pro (launched on October 10) with Android 10 out of the box. OnePlus 7T is a minor upgrade with a new Snapdragon 855+ processor from OnePlus 7 Pro, as the ‘T’ after the model name suggests an upgrade. The device borrows many of the features from its previous lineup in the same series such as a triple sensor rear camera and a 90Hz display.
This is a staged rollout so it might take time for the update to be received by all the devices. OnePlus 7T users who are curious to get the update can occasionally check for the update by navigating to Settings > System Updates > Check for OTA updates and download it if available.
