Netflix has not issued any statement on this, but it surely has fans jumping in their homes as season 4 had released over a year ago, and people were eagerly waiting for their charming, handsome Devil to return to their screens.

Season 5 was said to be the final season; however, looking at constant fan love and a considerable demand, makers are moving ahead with season 6. Rumors were buzzing on social media that Tom Ellis has left the show due to creative differences with the makers, however now it is clear that Tom Ellis has renewed his contract and continues to play the Devil.

For the uninitiated, Lucifer is a supernatural crime drama/love story. Lucifer, aka the Devil, is bored with ruling hell and decides to retire in Los Angeles on Earth. He runs a huge bar called Lux and gets involved in a police case handled by Detective Chloe Decker.

Lucifer soon discovers that there is some connection between them even though they are opposites in personalities, and decides to professionally help her solve cases and stay around her.

Lucifer’s modern looks and adaptation to modern earth, plus character development with a talented actor like Tom Ellis has surely made the show one of the most-watched shows in the world. The show currently enjoys a rating of 87% on Rotten Tomatoes and 8.2/10 on IMDb.

If you are planning to start watching the show, beware, a handsome, charming devil may become one of your ‘deepest desires’.
