Xiaomi came out with the details of its current MIUI 11 ROM in September 2019. Xiaomi also showcased its Mi9 Pro 5G at the same time, and now, that phone has been replaced by Mi10 Pro 5G, and it seems Xiaomi is planning to replace MIUI 11 with MIUI 12 as well. We have already seen a leaked roadmap for MIUI 12, and recently, Xiaomi stopped working on MIUI 11 beta updates. It seems that Xiaomi did so to give more attention to MIUI 12 development.
After revealing MIUI 11 in September, the company immediately began rolling out closed beta updates, and on September 27, the public updates began coming out as well. The update was available for 17 Xiaomi devices in China. However, just like MIUI 12, MIUI 11 rumors were going around for quite a while before Xiaomi revealed the ROM.
There are lots of rumours that are going around regarding MIUI 12 update, and some of them are mentioned here.
Recently, we got a list of devices that would be first in line to receive the MIUI 12 update when it goes live in the future. As of now, the list has the following devices.

In the second wave of the update, Xiaomi will cover Mi Note 10, Mi CC9e, Mi MIX 3, Mi MIX 2S, and the Mi MIX 2.
As for the Redmi K30, Redmi K20 Pro, Redmi K20, Redmi Note 8 Pro, Redmi Note 8, Redmi Note 7 Pro, Redmi Note 7, Redmi 8, Redmi 8A, Redmi 7, and Redmi 7A, they are the last in line to get the MIUI 12 update.
As usual, some of the devices won’t get this new update, and this list is not final. One more thing that we need to keep in mind is that the latest update would work on the same Android version as the previous one.
