What if we tell you that you can get to start a fresh new life in a fantasy world without losing any significant memory from your real world? Well, it sounds exciting, right? This is what Jobless Reincarnation anime is about. Right after Season 1 of Jobless Reincarnation Episode 11 came to an end in March, fans were left wondering whether they will see Jobless Reincarnation Season 2 in the future.

Here we bring all the news we know so far about Mushoku Tensei Season 1 Part 2.

When will Mushoku Tensei: Isekai Ittara Honki Dasu Season 1 Part 2 Release?

The first episode of the anime based on light novels by author Rifujin na Magonote premiered on the 10th of January 2021. It took no time for Jobless Reincarnation Season 1 to take the anime world by a hit. On 22nd March, the makers of Jobless Reincarnation officially announced the release date of the second cour of Mushoku Tensei Part 2. Right after the conclusion of Season 1, the makers came up with the official tweet confirming July 2021 release falling Summer 2021 anime calendar.

However, the news trickling in confirms that instead of Mushoku Tensei Season 2, the makers are coming up with Mushoku Tensei Part 2. A point worthy of note is that as for now, there is nothing called Jobless Reincarnation Season 2. Japanese TV broadcasts follow a system known as cours. Basically, each anime telecasts about 13 episodes and then takes a brief pause. After a couple of months, the anime starts airing its second cour.

Simply speaking, Season 1 has not ended yet. In other words, Jobless Reincarnation Season 1 anime will be a split-cour anime. Now, we are just waiting for the release of Jobless Reincarnation Season 1 Part 2.

To reiterate, a “split-cour” in layman’s language happens when any makers decide to go for a couple of anime calendar season breaks before resuming TV broadcasting. July 2021 deadline has been pushed to Anime Fall Calendar.

After the broadcasting break, Mushoku Tensei Part 2 is likely to resume in October 2021 with Episode 12.

How many episodes will Jobless Reincarnation Part 2 have?

The official website’s Blu-Ray/DVD page has confirmed that Jobless Reincarnation Season 1 will head towards a split cour. It also announced that there will be a total of 23 episodes in the Season and will get released in four-disc volumes.

The last Mushoku Tensei Episode 11 of Part 1 ended on March 22, 2021. It can be said with near certainty that there will be 12 more episodes to go before Season 1 winds up. The Mushoku Tensei fans can expect Jobless Reincarnation Part 2 finale Episode 23 to release in December 2021 if it premieres in October 2021.

The delay in second cour has pushed the Mushoku Tensei Blu-Ray/DVD release dates. The earlier planned date of October 20, 2021 for Episodes 12 through 17 in Japan has now been rescheduled to January 19, 2022. Episode 18 through 23 will now release on March 16, 2022 that were earlier planned for December 22, 2021.

Jobless Reincarnation Season 2 Trailer

We are almost 4 months away from speculated Mushoku Tensei Jobless Reincarnation season 2 release date. This means that we cannot expect the Jobless Reincarnation season 2 trailer very soon. It will likely land few weeks before Season 2 release date gets final.

Moreover, we can expect the anime to get an installment for an actual Season 2. This is because it is quite unlikely that the whole manga would get covered in the Jobless Reincarnation Season 1 Part 2. However, don’t get too excited as there is no confirmation regarding the same yet.

In the meantime enjoy Jobless Reincarnation Season 1 official trailer

The makers have not released The Mushoku Tensei Part 2 OP (opening) and ED (ending) theme song music. They will also be released around the time trailer gets a release.

Jobless Reincarnation Season 1 Part 2 Cast

Since Part 2 will be an extension of Season 1 Part 1, “Jobless Reincarnation” will continue with its strong cast of voice actors and animation Studio Bind. They have given life to the manga characters. Expect them to be joined by new artists.

  1. Well the series itself is about a person trying to be a better person in his new life. The mc doesn’t really like having his past trauma and the only good thing about it is that because of that that he becomes the person he’s later. The memories and his past knowledge lead him to learn but don’t make him happier in many cases.

  2. There’s been a typo I’d like to bring to the attention of the author who wrote this post. The title should be “Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 1 is returning with the second cour in Fall 2021” not “Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 2 is returning with the second cour in Fall 2021”
