Epic Games have confirmed about the delay of Season 2. The ongoing Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 1 will extend up to early February of the new year. With a new year comes new beginnings! Last year we celebrated 14 Days of Fortnite over the holidays. This year we’ve got even more content for you to unwrap, including new game features, free rewards and a live experience that you won’t want to miss. To prepare for all the new holiday-themed updates, we will be extending Chapter 2’s first season into early February. Get ready for winter!

As part of Christmas celebrations, Epic devs have plans to roll out brand new “holiday-themed updates.” It will be equipped with new features, rewards and gaming experience. Apart from these, Fortnite has not given any other reason to extend beyond wanting.

They are planning to celebrate 2019 Christmas on lines of last year’s “14 Days of Fortnite over the holidays.”

Last year Epic had kept holiday-themed challenges and rewards on a daily basis. Not much has been disclosed except about the holiday plans. But it is sure that it will be worth the wait.

Every season of Fortnite has an average life span of 10 weeks. Going by the timeline, only a few weeks were left for the latest Season 1 to end. The 2 months delay is a major setback for the Fortnite fans. They were anticipating a new experience on a brand new Fortnite Map during Christmas. But if you’ve enjoyed playing Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 1 or have unfinished Tiers, then you’re in for luck!

In October, Chapter 2 Season 1 had brought a complete overhaul of visuals, black hole event, new map, rewards, features and gaming experience in general. With the latest announcement, we will have to wait and see why Epic planned to have a vacation of 2 months, almost a Season’s lifetime.
