It has been officially confirmed via tweet that the Parler Android app is available for download. However, it is not available on Google Play Store. Android App Version 3.0.0 for Parler is available for sideloading (outside the Google Play Store). Android devices eligible to work with the app should have Android OS 5 or later.

There is always a certain amount of hesitancy in downloading outside the Google Play Store on our part. It is because any Android app outside Play Store is deemed to be from “unknown sources.” But it doesn’t mean that it will not be a safe app. The only difference will be that they will not be monitored or financially tied to Google. However, Parler Android App is coming from a trusted source, the app is safe to download and use. The official page says:

installing the Parler App on Android Devices Outside the Google Play Store (Sideloading)

The Parler app for Android is available for devices running Android OS 5 or later.

Apps distributed outside the Google Play Store are flagged as coming from “unknown sources.” This doesn’t mean they’re dangerous; they’re simply not monitored or financially tied to Google. So long as you obtain apps through trusted sources, sideloading is a safe alternative to get the apps you love.

The Parler app for Android is available for sideloading. Parler can only support the one downloaded from this specific page.

Parler Android users need to uninstall the older version and reinstall it from the site. The links for Android OS versions 7, 8, 9, 10 & 11 are available on the official page.

Those who have downloaded it are unable to log in to the Parler app. Teh complaints are mostly around no receipt of 6 digit code that needs to be keyed in for Login confirmation. Few are complaining of verification issues related to email and password. Many cannot remember the older account details used while creating.

Many users are reporting issues around CAPTCHA. The showstopper bugs have led to frustration leaving no chance of entering into the app.

Parler is aware of all the verification bugs related to email addresses, passwords, and verification codes. They are pretty rampant on both Android and iOS versions of the Parler app. The devs have officially acknowledged the following tweet

We are working on this issue. If you’re on iOS, please delete the app from your device and reinstall it – this fixes the issue much of the time. 🙂

On May 18, Parler had announced the iOS version of the app reinstated on App Store. They had made a modification before getting approved. Anyone on iPhone/iPad will not be able to post with the label “hate” or having a hate speech element. Though Parler officials are in talks with Apple to relax the hate speech ban on the app.

Stay tuned for more updates!
