The Coolpad Cool 3 Plus was launched on June 26, 2019, and is the company’s latest budget offering. The entry-level smartphone has a premium look and is a direct competitor to the Xiaomi Redmi 7A and the Realme C2. Coolpad Cool 3 Plus is selling currently for just ₹5999 which makes it one of the cheapest smartphone with Android Pie.
Design and Screen
The Cool 3 Plus has a 5.71-inch dewdrop display and has a resolution of 1520 x 720 pixels. It has an aspect ratio of 19:9 and has an impressive 85% screen to body ratio. The smartphone is available in two colors – Ocean Blue and Cherry Black.
The device is powered by the Mediatek Helio A22, which is a quad-core processor clocked at 2.0 GHz. This helps it perform daily tasks such as browsing and texting without any hiccups. It also features a PowerVR GE8300 GPU which the company claims will deliver a great gaming experience.
Coolpad Cool 3 Plus offers two storage variants. The 16GB variant comes with 2GB RAM while the 32GB version comes with 3GB RAM. The phone runs Android Pie out of the box.
Like all other offering’s in its segment, it has a single 13MP rear camera with LED flash and an 8MP front-facing camera. The front camera is equipped with an AI Beauty feature whereas the rear camera offers a multitude of functions such as the Anti-flicker mode, 8-label beauty mode, Bokeh and Time-Lapse.
Battery and Storage
Backed by a 3,000 mAh battery, Coolpad claims to offer 14 hours of talk time and 7 hours of Full HD video playback. Both 16GB and 32GB variants support Micro SD cards up to 128GB.
Connectivity and other features
The Coolpad Cool 3 Plus is a dual SIM (GSM and GSM) smartphone and accepts Nano-SIM cards.
Connectivity options include Wi-fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, USB OTG, Micro USB, 3G and 4G. The phone is packed with sensors such as the ambient light sensor, compass, proximity sensor, accelerometer and even a rear fingerprint sensor allowing you to unlock the phone easily and securely.
