CoD has a pretty large and active community which has ensured the continued legacy of this famous title. Recently it has launched Warzone Season 3. It appears promising with new maps, weapons, and multiplayer modes, and of course Hunt for Adler event. Regardless, with such magnanimous launches, there are bound to be bugs. These occasional slip-ups annoy numerous gamers worldwide.
The most recent one seems to be the Call of Duty: Warzone Crossplay system. Putting “online multiplayer” and “problem” in the same sentence isn’t a good sign. Even so, you’ll figure out exactly what the issue was and how to solve it. Keep reading Mr. Soap, it isn’t that slippery to handle.
The Issue of Call of Duty: Warzone Crossplay
The idea of introducing crossplay is a pretty logical one. Given that gamers are often spread across different platforms it would only make sense to create a common hub where they could all interact and play. Although, recent complaints state that the friends list couldn’t be accessed or there was an error pop-up.
In other cases friends who were playing the game didn’t show up as being “online”. The issue wasn’t restricted to only crossplay but for the normal individual platform presets as well. Most of the time the tags of the others showed up only in the regiments while still indicating an offline status.
In some cases, entire friends lists were wiped out leaving an empty screen or an error message. There are several solutions though. Mostly Battle Royale players prefer to play the game online with their friends. Call of Duty: Warzone Crossplay issue is a serious hit for them to proceed.
There has been no official confirmation on the same by Raven Software. However, few enthusiats have found a workaround that can be given a try till the time official fix comes their way.
For players on PS4, the solution is to join PS4 friends via PS4 friendslist provides they are showing online though. The best way to check if their online is by going to the friend’s playstation account on your PS4 and then checking on the overview page.

Issues involving Player Base
Long Loading times
There have been reports where friends lists have gone missing while being promptly followed by tweet from the same individual stating that all is fixed. While this does make one wonder if there’s a hostage situation involved there real answer proves otherwise.
Those who find the friends list missing could try waiting for about 10mins or so. The list will have loaded up by then.
Joining Regiments
In case the Battle Net system doesn’t work when playing on PC, you could try using a Discord network which will do the trick. You can invite other players by posting the link on a Discord page. Although you should’ve the Battle Net account synced to your Discord account. Take note, this method works only on the PC platform.
As for PS4, use the PS4 friends option to open up your friends list. In case the required players are shown to be online, you can ask them to join the game or “room”. The same principle works for Xbox as well. Crossplay still doesn’t work though, so cup half full I guess?
Activision Friends Wiped out list
Just follow the Discord tips followed above for the PC platform and the others for PS4 and Xbox. Besides the usual bunch of same platform team-ups recent updates have partially resolved some of the crossplay issues.
Post the May 2nd update you can head over to the Account Settings in the Options menu and check if Crossplay is enabled or not. In other cases it could be a fault with your NAT. The NAT status should be marked as either “moderate” or “operate”. Contact your ISP (Internet Service Provider) if it shows anything besides the aforementioned two.

Raven Software has been taking a lot of flak lately. Much of it comes from the community which claims the time taken to resolve the problem is absurd.
Raven Software has issued a statement claiming that the devs are looking into issues being reported. Any kinks that would be ironed out are likely to be posted on their Trello page.
While the pressure keeps mounting on the devs to resolve the issue, they pulled an UNO reverse card move by updating only minute changes on their Trello page and on the Warzone game likewise. Even so, with several countermeasures in place I believe we just need to give them a little more time.
Meanwhile why don’t you try a little bit of CoD: Cold War? It doesn’t seem to have any of the bugs on its online multiplayer.
