The first free update of November from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is reaching to you today. It promises a new multiplayer map- Shoot House, a new Ground War map – Krovnik Farmland, and Hardpoint mode. The information was shared with the fans on Activision’s Twitter handle. The free versions are available for play from November 8 on all platforms and for all players. There is no platform exclusivity deal in place, a welcome change.
The time of arrival is yet not clear. But the history of COD indicates that the freebies should reach somewhere during the US west coast’s early hours on November 8.
The brand new multiplayer Shoot House map is a three-lane 6v6 map. It carries the classic CoD stamp and traditional maps’ fans will be in for a treat. It targets the players to battle out close-quartered combat.
Another huge map which is coming free for all is Krovnik Farmland. It is a welcome change for players. Going by the images shared by Activision, the map resembles a Ground Force exclusive with the backdrop of an old rural town. It will be available in the Ground War game mode only. Very recently a massive overhaul was tipped for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare which included these maps.
November 8 update marks the comeback of classic Hardpoint (which hops around the map) mode. It is an intense mode which pushes players to take charge of changing hardpoint spots. The team’s aim is to hold onto Hardpoint locations for as long as they can from enemy teams taking over the control. Points are allocated for holding the Hardpoint, so the team which holds on to the Hardpoint longer wins.
Recently Activision art lead had confirmed on Resetera about a new patch on its way accompanying the maps. The same was confirmed by Senior Communications Manager at Infinity Ward, Ashton Williams, in a tweet on Wednesday. He said, “over the next few days that improves stability across all platforms, fixes bugs, weapon tuning, footsteps, claymores, and more.” The brand is going all out to providing fixes for crashes and tweaking.
