It has been some time since we heard about the Bose Earbuds 700. We are aware that Bose is working on noise-canceling earbuds for quite some time. Brand’s first true wireless noise-canceling headphones, Bose Earbuds 700 headphones are back in news. This time a new leaked video from an Australian retailer, Harvey Norman has surfaced on the internet. Bose is all set to unveil these earbuds “very soon” under a new name, the Bose QuietComfort Earbuds.

People recently spotted these earbuds on a Vimeo video, by Norman before it was pulled down. CNET was one of the first websites to notice the video and report on the topic.

The video showcased these earbuds with the QuietComfort branding that Bose dropped in 2019. It seems Bose is putting up these noise-canceling earbuds against the massively popular Airpods by Apple.

Bose’s Noise-Canceling Earbuds

In 2019, Bose announced that it is working on noise-canceling earbuds. However, the company had to delay the development and release of the earbuds due to various reasons (maybe due to COVID-19).

However, this leak shows that Bose is still going forward with the release of QuietComfort Earbuds. The video looked authentic, and an authentic source put it on the web. So, it is fair to assume that Bose will be introducing these earbuds to the market soon.

What to expect from the Bose QuietComfort Earbuds?

The video, which is now available on YouTube, shows what these earbuds would offer. You are going to get “the world’s most effective noise cancelling” with excellent sound quality. Bose says that its “breakthrough acoustics innovations” has allowed it to deliver one of the best-sounding earbuds with excellent noise-cancelation.

These new earbuds will feature Bose’s StayHear Max tips that offer excellent sweat and water resistance. As a result, you can use these earbuds while working out without any fear of damaging them.

In terms of battery life, the video states that the earbuds can last up to six hours on a single charge.

Bose mentions that it has used a “custom-designed microphone array” in the earbuds to provide excellent communication while using them for phone calls.

QuietComfort Earbuds vs. Airpods Pro

Bose QuietComfort Earbuds: video reveals noise canceling headphones

The QuietComfort Earbuds are going up against the Airpods Pro, and Bose would release it at a similar price. The video shows that the earbuds have a pill-like design (similar to the Galaxy Buds from Samsung) with Bose branding at the back.

At present, Bose sells its SoundSport Free as the sole entry in the truly wireless headphones category. If Bose releases the QuietComfort Earbuds soon, the consumers will get an additional option when choosing truly wireless headphones from Bose.

The SoundSport Free earbuds are from 2017, and it is time we saw something new from Bose in the truly wireless headphone category. Apple came up with its first Airpods in 2016, and they later introduced the Airpods Pro. So, it is about time Bose rejoined the battle for the best truly wireless earbuds.

As of now, we haven’t seen any official announcement from Bose. It is hard to say when these new earbuds will come out and what Bose would name them. However, the leak and the subsequent reaction means that Bose is up to something, and we might see an announcement soon.

What are your thoughts on the upcoming Bose noise-canceling earbuds? If given a choice, would you go with the Airpods Pro or the Bose Earbuds? Let us know your opinion in the comments below.
